A Quick Reminder of Upcoming Dates

Here are a few dates to keep in mind over the next few weeks.

Sunday, June 15 - Blood Drive

The Blood Drive will be held at the Elks from 9:00 – 3:00. This is a good opportunity for the younger scouts to earn their community service hours. Just an hour or two every eight weeks is a great way for the boys to learn about giving back to the community. Parents are always welcome to stay and help as well. Scouts must wear their class A uniforms.

Tuesday, June 17 – Winnings Pond

Our troop will be meeting at Winnings Pond for next Tuesday’s meeting. It will be at the regular time of 7:00pm. This will be a chance for the boys to practice canoeing before the Saco River trip. Even the boys not going on the trip will be able to practice canoeing. No need to wear Class A uniforms. Bathing suit or shorts and water shoes or sandals recommended. Also, if you are planning on going on the trip we need to know by this meeting.

Friday, June 20 – Pack 54 final meeting of the year to be held at the Elks.

Our boys will be running the events around the actual Pack 54 Meeting. We will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs prior to the meeting and running field games at the conclusion of ceremonies. Troop 30 Scout Kevin Robinson is organizing this event. He spoke with the boys this evening and will be in contact with them via email over the next few days with details. Kevin had quite a few volunteers’ sign up to help run events during the evening. All Troop 30 scouts volunteering should be there by 6:00pm. Scouts must wear class A uniforms.

Tuesday, June 24 – Troop 30 Court of Honor.

Meeting will be held upstairs at the Elks at 7:00. All scouts should be in Class A uniforms. Class B Troop 30 shirts will be for sale at the Court of Honor for $9.00 each.

Friday, June 27 - Sunday June, 29

Saco River Trip. More information to come. Make sure you sign up by Tuesday, June 17th at Winnings pond.
