Town Wide 9/11 Services

Hi everyone,

This Sunday is the 10th anniversary of the attacks on September 11th. The town is holding town wide services to remember this day. This is the schedule:

8:42- single bell will begin to toll from St. Theresa church and First Congregational Church. It will ring 3600 times for each person killed.
9:45- bagpipe will sound from St.Theresa front lawn- a call to gather and remember
10:00- religious services held at churches around town
11:00-11:20- town people along with police, fire, EMTs will gather on the common to remember and Taps will be played and the flag will be lowered to half staff
11:40- all will gather on the front lawn of St. Theresa church lead by Honor Guard, Fire, Police, EMTs. Taps will be sounded for the second time ( no speeches)
12:15- Final tribute- Taps sounded for the third time

Hospitality in St. Theresa parish center (building behind church) after service is complete. Troop 30 will be helping.

Troop 30 will be attending the services. We will be meeting on the town common ( at the gazebo facing O'Connor's side) just before 11:00. We will be following the schedule together from 11:00 on due to scouts going to different churches. St. Theresa's has asked me if Troop 30 could help them with hospitality. All scouts should wear full class A uniform.

Please email me to let me know if you will be coming and if you can help after in the hall. I would like a reply from each scout if you are attending or not attending.
